The Panasonic DMP-BDT210 is my second 3D Blu-ray player – my first the Samsung Samsung BD-D5500 3D Blu-ray Disc Player (Black) lasted about 3 months and then began to freeze-up and became worthless. The Panasonic has a better reputation for quality, and my initial impression is that it is a much smoother operator. The difference is immediately noticeable the drive for the tray is much quieter and smooth – the Blu-ray drive mechanism is also quieter (at times the drive on the Samsung was so loud that it was distracting). Notes on the operations – - Blu-Ray Audio and Video Playback – The video quality is what you would expect from a blu-ray player – ultra crisp. Audio playback seems good, but I do not have it hooked up to a home entertainment center. It should be noted that you have only 1 HDMI output and 1 optical audio output. – Load Times – Fastest that I have every used – much better than the Samsung – Wireless – Comes standard with wireless N – it should be noted that for some of the apps require a fast connection and may benefit from a direct LAN connection in order to supply HD video from applications like Netflix and Amazon.com – Apps – Very easy to navigate and easy to use.
